No idea what that might mean, but we are currently pre-occupied with the solar panels. A leak in the bedroom ceiling underneath the panels precipitated a thought about whether we are using them enough – answer no, and it is easier to remove them entirely to try to find the leak rather than pussy foot around and not find where it is coming from.
Further complications emerged when the boiler would not pressurise the heating system, so a new boiler was diagnosed, which worked well as we were able to remove the unnecessary pipework and the hot water storage tank which had sprung a minor leak itself.
So, new boiler in, pipework out, but the plumbers didn’t drain the panels so glycol then emerged in the airing cupboard from the connecting pipework. Ladders out, up on the roof and drain the panels using the rather crude method of cutting the pipes.
