First outing!

The inaugural trip for the trailer to get some barley straw.  Not many places in Wales sell it or indeed grow it.  We found a dealer in the Cambrian hills and went off to get some – 6 of the best small bales, the size you will have seen at shows and country events.  Not the large size which literally weigh a ton each.

Once we know what we are doing, we should be able to top load these six bales with at least another 6, so this will make the trip even more cost effective.  At present we are paying for straw to come from the Fylde and paying the cost of delivery.  Of course the unknown part, was how beautiful the countryside is north of Rhayader.  Absolutely stunning.
