Unexpected visitors

Well there was smoke on the horizon, too close for comfort, this turned up!

Of course everything is tinder dry, so it didn’t take much.

The star turn was Rhayader Land Rover which navigated it’s way to the river bank to pump directly from the Wye. Word had spread – “there’s a fire at Merryhall” was the theme at the village school gates apparently. Certainly, the only way to get to the fire 🔥 was via the track.
