The heavy rain yesterday knocked off, down one of the tulip tree flower buds. They are magnificent on the tree, en-masse, but especially up close and personal.

I’ve left it on the garden table just in case any little buzzer is interested, and it’s slowly opening. Medium sized apple for comparison.
