The original Welsh (OK, English) plant is a modest, unassuming, quiet, dignified solitary coloniser or verge, path and river bank, and it gets on doing what it does best without fanfare, trumpet or vuvuzela. And because it does that, and has done for centuries, it speaks volumes of our heritage, history and breathes the very essence of what it is to be Welsh (OK, British).
Don’t tell the wokes (I won’t pander to them by giving them a leading capital), but up with this invasion of our lives and enjoyment of an English (OK, Welsh) garden we will not put.
