We made the move with 18 bunnies or so (we are never quite certain!) and they settled in very well. We anticipated housing them in a separate free-standing garage but as usual even the best laid plans… There was no garage when we arrived!
Quick change of plan, and they are now housed in another garage that was vacant. Sandie is over the moon with it; no wet neck or hair in wet weather, they are cosy and comfortable, and we are content they are safe.
The two Trianta sisters are causing some concern. One is eyeing up the Rabbit – a girl. OK in this society, anything goes these days, but… just supposing one of the sisters is a brother… happened to us once before to two so called sisters, and five little Easter bunnies was the result! (For the record they all died. We didn’t know they had been born, it was a cold night, and despite some very clever admin by the now mother, she was new to motherhood and they didn’t get enough sustenance. Follow the news posts and we will keep you up to date.
In the meantime, this is a twice a day occurrence:
01/05.
Meanwhile, in the cottage, a new resident makes herself at home.
This is Cookie – pronounced Koo-key because she is one button short of a full pooh tray – or is she?
Clever!
