The man came to fit the towbar to the Jeep. “I don’t know which bit of go and amuse yourself they don’t get”, he is chatting about how people watch him and he doesn’t like it.  He has a workshop at this home near Crickhowell, and advises customers to go away and come back at a time he suggests.

“There’s a sign up in my workshop which gives my hourly rate; it reads:

Hourly Rate – £30 per hour
If you stay and watch it’s £40
If you ask questions or want a chat it’s £50
If you offer helpful suggestions that’s £60
If you have a friend who tried to do this job and failed after watching a YouTube video my rate is £70
If you have tried it and b******d it up – that’s £80
If a friend of yours had the same job done at a ridiculously low price that’s £90
If you want an inflated bill for the insurance that’s £100”.
