The Cockchafer..

The cockchafer or the ‘doodlebug’, a nickname later given to the V-1 flying bomb of WWII for their similarities in sound made during flight. Didn’t know that…

Found this little chap in the polytunnel. Seemingly harmless, in our previous house we could see them congregate amongst tall trees, hanging on the breeze, and creating what seemed from a distance smoky clouds twisting and turning as the eddies them. Then… they descend to your lawn and gobble up all the grass!

But, take five and observe closely (which we all tend not to so do) and just look at the detail, or as much as is visible by the iPhone.
