Statuesque Sycamores
Our statuesque sycamores against the bluest of blue skies. No aircraft con-trails either. We had a tree surgeon give us his opinion of the trees. From the left hand one you can see that the left side has already come down, thankfully prior to us coming here. There is water ingress on the knuckle that is left, so we are thinking of having that tidied up. They might be a couple of hundred years old, and are part of Merryhall, so we are reluctant to fell them, or even top them. Tree creepers and especially nuthatches abound and run up and down the trunks, and the whistles and whoops are wonderful.
