Spuds…

Why are they called that? Anyway, one of the most exciting times of the year, digging up the potatoes. In this case a row of Cara, with a row of King Edwards to go.

Spotted an article in the paper today about potatoes saying that they should never be dug up. They should be unearthed. What a lovely thought, just like buried treasure.

I’m thinking butter, here. Real butter, even if it is a hundred pound a pack due to the Ukraine crisis (of course, it’s produced from maize isn’t it?). With a little salt and pepper.
