Ever since we’ve been here, the locals have been commenting on how lucky we have been.  Worrying that.  Such a lovely Autumn they say, compared to last year (you may recall news items stating from then commenting on 89 continuous days of rain in Carmarthen (which was true).  We put the dry spell to good use, and got the veg patch into some sort of ship-shapeness, though which was good.
Today is now all change. The forecast, when you can understand it, talks of us “heading out” into continuous rain. The River Wye is probably at the highest we have seen it; it takes about 12 hours to reflect the source at Plynlymon being rained on, and it is now running about 18″ higher than the normal low points we have seen.
More forecast later in the week! At least the bunnies are dry and smug (snug?).
