Well, we’ve had some rain, but not nearly enough, and Autumn is creeping up on us.

A fine crop of ready to eat apples in a garden in the village but what of the crops? At Mr Morgan’s butchers, Dai’s son was commenting on the imminent price rises. “We’ve had two bad seasons”, he said, “a bad winter and now a bad summer, but everyone will blame Brexit, and not realise the real cause”. Even if we get copious amounts, it will be too late as the growing conditions are too Autumnal. Three cuts of hay are now down to one, and probably not a second.

interesting times!
