Proper bluebells, not…
the Spanish version. The wild flower meadow seems to have spread further and more adventurously this year, in the fields around us and on the river bank, small single bluebells abound tentatively throwing up a bloom as if testing the water for further expansion.

We do have the Spanish Influx which is a pity as eventually the two species will intermingle but hopefully the natural British version will survive.
It is an odd thing about the bluebell, that whenever one sees it, it is so photogenic that it presents almost a perfect picture of such vibrancy that even on a dull day it radiates joy with that lovely colour.
