Presteigne war memorial

This fine chappie is a private war memorial that just appeared in 2014. No fund-raising, no permission, no fuss, just him.

Made by a local artist using wire netting and a paper mache covering it is due to disappear after armistice day.

Captured here on a lovely frosty morning. Great to think it has been accepted and honoured by the community and a clamour has ensured to make a permanent memorial in the same spirit.
