Pleasant chappie…

… I think that is what he is known as.  The male pheasant has up to eight female pheasants in the grounds at any one time.

Not a good picture, but he is there with one of his wifelets as the Duke of Marlborough used to call his [alleged – ed.] concubines.  He is very tame and follows Sandie around – looking for food, obvs.  We will try and get a video of him resplendent in his finery.  We had a male resident when we first moved here, The Donald we called him, he had a splendid redish chest, was loud, incoherent and tweeted a lot.  This one?  Don’t know yet, maybe Tired?
