Ophelia plus one
Talk about the morning after the night before it is a beautiful start to the day, so quiet, and the day has a colder edge, but the light level is as bright as the rfirst day of Spring. Sycamore branches and deadwood litter the garden, and a perspex greenhouse blew in but that just popped back.
Interestingly, the high winds have burned the leaves on the trees so any green hue to them has diminished. Does that mean that the Autumn display is poorer? It is earlier and not as good as last year so far. We shall see. And trouble is brewing; on the morning tiger walk the metallic rasping noise of Fieldfares being harassed by (presumably) native blackbirds. This was coming from holly bushes, but alarum, fewer berries this year!
