Observing the Covid-19 rules
Observing the Covid-19 rules, means just that. As mentioned, we have a couple of simple ones when we have contact with Joan – 94 this year. Her first three week stretch is now over, and her second one begins. She told us that three weeks was doable, but not the twelve that we heard of at the beginning of this episode.
We have isolated ourselves and have no or minimal contact with the outside world. Tesco delivers, even if the only way to get a slot is to wake at the witching hour when they release new slots. And we get fresh things delivered by the Newbridge post office, who are doing a magnificent job for the community.
Joan said she was OK for bread, but clearly a miscalculation occurred, and as we were going to Llandod anyway to get animal feed, Sandie dropped some of our bread in on Joan, whilst I had a socially distanced transaction to effect at Hay and Brecon farmers.
Rules rule OK, so I’m not allowed in, but I can wave through the window!

Sorry it’s a bit blurred, but I think you can get the picture!
We also think it’s important for her health, mental and physical that she does see Sandie to have a girly chat to, occasionally, and when we feel confident about not exposing her to unnecessary risk.
