November project 2…

Wet outside and contrary to the forecast we’ve not had 24 hours rain free, but no matter, I can complete the fourk handle. Rusted fork sanded down, not entirely as the soil will complete the job. New shaft drilled (and treated against water) and fitted. But what to do about a rivet?

Inspiration in the form of a six-inch nail occurred, so into the vice and heat it up. The blowtorch couldn’t get it white, but no matter, Red will do, and some heavy handed Brummie screwdriver work peened over the end! Excellent, pleased with that!
