Little did we know when we moved that we were in the middle of a huge row and a battle over Llandegly International Airport expansion proposals.  You see we don’t have to waste time travelling to Heathrow, Manchester or piddly little Birmingham International Airports; we go Llandegly!  We save time, trouble, and the planet by turning up at a major hub which is only five miles away; park the car – the long stay car park is amazing, sample the Duty Free shopping mall, and courtesy of those nice people who run it and their special relationship with the immigration police we are on our way in minutes.

The proposal to build a Terminal Two however is dividing the community.  Yes we need more facilities, yes the airport brings much needed jobs to a job deprived area, and yes we will pinch Heathrow traffic, but do we want such a large development on our doorstep is the common refrain.
