Narberth…

We had a day out! Now we don’t have dogs we have made a resolution to “get out more”. We hadn’t realised how much time was taken up by very un-time consuming dogs, and just how little we have seen or experienced of Wales. First up on our travels is Narberth – Where?

In the South West of Wales, down by Milford Haven and Pembroke about 1 1/2 hours away (everything is over an hour away!)

When we had the shop we came across a couple of brothers who shared our tastes and style of products and who seemed to run a similar shop to ours (seemed is the operative word as we would never get to see for ourselves, it was too far away). Since them we saw newspaper and magazine articles espousing the Town’s charms as a centre for independent retail – before Covid, of course, so what cultural changes might have been inflicted since the virus wrought its havoc on High Streets across the UK?

We were not disappointed. Absolutely charming with a couple of upmarket Delis to boot – I think we may have to live closer and use this as our “just popping in” place. A Coffee1 would be good, or similar, then it would be perfect!
