The weather forecaster on Radio 4 often says the word, but it is incorrect – surely there is mist, or no mist. As mist has a variable consistency, you can’t have half mist.

The Local name for this type of mist is Dragon’s breath. It appears above/around the river as the morning temperature changes.

Bo and Peep love sitting by the gate. Some consternation today as the new ewes (hogs) are back and the pair couldn’t understand who/what they are. Do they speak the same language, or do they have a different accent? The Tupping Teasers are in with the flock. Wethered rams, firing blanks, who tease the ewes to get them in the mood and in the same cycle. Then they get taken out and himself appears.

Raises all sorts of issues. How will our girls react? Will the rams take an interest in them? And to what lengths will the rams go to to get access. Mmmmmmm. Lambs seemed a good idea at the time!
