Merry Hell …

… As the cottage used to be known as, colloquially by the locals, as Bachus and his wily ways took over.  Our own modest contribution to getting the reputation back to the previous standard is growing above the veg patch gate.

The beginnings of Chateau -ette Merrhall are maturing nicely.

“A cheeky number with a piquant start which matures as you get to know it, broadening out on the palette with a hint of warmth and vibrancy with strong blackcurrant moving into bacon and eggs, a very homely feel, but always in the background is a hint of acid bringing a tartness that plays on the tongue and melds the whole into a satisfying and wholly unique experience.  And I  particularly like the hissing noise, reminiscent of an HGV braking, as you unscrew the top”.

A kind, unsolicited review, which didn’t cost us that much really.  As much as we pressed them (geddit?), they wouldn’t take a free bottle, how nice is that?
