Yup we have our own The Donald. Brash, outspoken, defiantly male, flamboyant, loves wearing red, got a bit of a bob (tail) on himself and as bold as brass, he loves to trump(et) his presence in the undergrowth.

Also The Donald – Donald Pleasance – Pleasant Pheasant [geddit? – Ed].  Decided to fly in to the chicken compound much to their alarm.  Sandie ushered the girls away, and he calmly walked past her and out of the gate.  Not a-feared at all!  I think we shall be hearing and seeing a lot more of him.  Back again this morning sneaking down the track.

Incidentally did you know that each male pheasant is unique – completely different to others in colouration and patterning!  Can’t wait to get a close-up.
