Joan is Sandie’s (currently) 96 year old Mother and she joined us here in Wales in a lovely flat in the centre of Land(rin)dod. She moved here from the New Forest in 2017 and despite the restrictions of Covid enjoys life as much as she can. She is in overall good health. Written in 2021, and as you may have realised she died in June 2023 after a slide. (“I didn’t fall!!”). Had she been wearing either the wrist motion sensor (detects falls or slides) or her necklace alarm, she would be with us now – salutary lesson number one for her.
Joan Whittle is now living in Penrhyn, a small development in the centre of Llandrindod Wells, in the heart of Powys. She is resident on the ground floor in a beautiful two bedroomed flat. Everything to hand, including daughter Sandie who lives with husband Harry about five miles away.
