Joan responded sharply with an indignant harrumph, “No, I am not going to peg it”!
They both looked at each other and dissolved into fits of giggles that evolved into one one of “those” laughs, you know, when the sides ache, and just as you’re recovering you recall the wording, and you start laughing all over again.
