Cleared out the pea haulms as the best of the crop is now passed.
Guess who is best pleased!  We did rather well, and of course the remaining job is to de-pod them.
Interesting this.  I didn’t realise that not only is the variety of pea important to taste, but also the size of the pod, and indeed, whereabouts in the crop, and the height from the ground.  Such a scientific approach is important to the quality of meals that Orsie (our guest chef) serves up to the endless supply of guests that call.
