Flotsam

A week or so ago, after a not very stormy storm, a part of a hawthorn tree covered by ivy, appeared by the river bank.  It is some thirty feet long.   It is now making its way down the river in a series of hops depending on the depth of water available.

Another storm is not expected soon, so we are stuck with this very large piece of flotsam, in the medium term.
