More fishy goings on in our pond. There was I observing the frogspawn and my eye was caught by something obviously animal, in a sea of vegetable and mineral.

On investigation it appears to be a decomposing chicken leg/thigh complete with claw (obviously harder to decompose). What?(answered), how? (Not so easy).

One scenario is fox steals chicken and leaves it. Red Kite sees it and snatches it and flies over pond. Red Kite drops it with Dambuster accuracy into pond. Really?

We had similar when the rescue greyhound Rosie found a fish head in the pond – I kid you not.
