Working by the river Wye, listening to the music it produces and being constantly bemused by its variations on a theme is one of my favourite occupations.

On a Spring day with the strengthening sun casting striated patterns and now strong enough to bring Dol y Fan into focus with its scattered sheep grazing it is surely near enough to being heavenly.

I am logging again and taking arm-thick branches originally discarded but now weathered, and using a miniature battery operated chain saw to cut them into fire-sized logs and logletts. Replenishing our depleted winter stores whilst we have the opportunity.
