Joan’s niece Carol texted – “OK to come and see Auntie?”, so we texted back “of course!”. which spawned a family meet up along with Joan’s son David and his wife Liz. It was great to see Carol and brother John along with Carol’s husband Nick.
Along with many other families during Covid times, we resorted to Skype video to catch up, and a mini-godsend it was too. Sharing family information and bringing everyone up to date with happenings, but it’s not like the real thing is it? Just over two years since lockdown began and we hadn’t seen them in that time.
Carol booked the three of them in to the Bell Country Hotel just outside Landod and conveniently close to Merryhall, so after an afternoon of catching up, we joined them for an evening meal.
The following day to Joan’s for another huge natterfest.
This morning we understand that Joan is k+++++++d, but very happy to catch up with everyone again. And thanks for coming from us two.
