We had a bad weekend with Rosie/Meg. The lump became worse, she scratched it and opened it up, and, well you imagine the rest. She looked at us as if to say “please take it away”. So we made the decision to say goodbye, or at least to take the vet’s view on a care routine. She was very sorry for herself.

Monday morning, I was about to lift her into Jeep, and she jumped in! Never been known. David, the vet, took one look at her very messy throat and declared “I think I’ve misdiagnosed her, that’s an abscess!”. He lowered his head to hers and murmured “I am so sorry (but I’m so pleased)!”.

Thirty six hours later and the anti-biotic has kicked in, and she’s on a recovery trip. We think her body had started to fight back over Sunday pm/evening. Here she is looking quite different with Bigboy who has just had a shampoo!
