Dennis 1

A gentle start to Saturday (15th), light winds, light drizzle, light spirits.

24 hours later, after a nine hours or so power cut, cooking by candlelight,

both fires roaring away,

no major damage by torchlight as of a quick recce this morning, but, the river is in the formula 1 league and absolutely tearing towards the lower areas such as Builth (which will flood), and Hay (ditto).  Here, on our little marker it is at least seven feet higher than normal.  Dennis 2 to follow at daybreak!
