Merryhall comprises about two acres of the old alluvial plain of the River Wye.  At this point, the river is relatively young, and is fast flowing with plenty of rapids sections; a joy for canoeists.  The land is split into “rooms” with the main paddock and its wood being the largest.

There is also the wild flower meadow,

The Veg patch,

The rear garden,

and the chicken patch.
