Barn painting
It’s that time again and the barn roof needs painting. I did it three years or so ago, and used bitumen which should have lasted a good deal longer. I started the re-paint last year with lockdown and the final part, the double-roof needs doing.

It’s a lengthy old process. Line up the ladders, tie off the lower one then up and paint. “Three points of contact “ as we used to say when climbing so both knees and left arm gripping the rung which leaves the right one for the slop-it-on. The slop-it-on is Barn Paint, a plasticised stretchable covering which moves with the corrugated iron roof.

Without being too tardy it’s about a day and a half.
