Getting older gets to a point when it’s just funny. OK, getting old is not funny, but sometimes, it does just become so silly, that having a good laugh about it , just puts it into context. Joan has been having a good laugh about it too.
Sandie received a birthday card which (natch) took the piddle out of getting older. This led to an hilarious conversation about getting up and getting one’s various parts all moving in the same direction and at the same time, and at the same pace.
Joan then demonstrated how she tries to get out of her chair after an evenings TV viewing! She kept collapsing into uncontrollable laughter, which spread to us, then she starts laughing at herself laughing Those that know Joan, will appreciate her mobility (or lack of it) issues, she gamely carries on, but she hides a lot as well; this was full on exposure, and her telling was so funny, and it is good to fully appreciate her issues. It happens to us all, but if we can laff about it, then hey!
