About time too…
When we moved here, nine years ago (coming up) we had an unbelievable selling situation with the purchasers taking the waddle. As a result we took everything that wasn’t nailed down- wood, paving slabs, fences, garden canes, the Mother-in-law (well, not quite, she joined us later, another story). Moral of the story is “be nice” – if you were nice, you would have been left a lot of nice things).

Any road up, we had two full sized removal vans, and two men and a van. Inside the van were four chicken coops with 20+ chickens and their runs – posts, wire netting, poles and assorted pieces of timber. The van then broke down, another story! When it arrived it was 17.00. So everything was off-loaded and dumped in what became “the chicken area.
The following morning before dawn we could be found erecting chicken runs and fencing two sides of the main run, the other two sides were/are Lleylandia. Fast forward nine years and our chicken coops have reduced to two so the whole area can be halved. Interestingly the timbers have lasted around fifteen years which is nearly a record.
Area now sown with lawn seed and it is being watered. With nine years of chicken poo we have expectations…!
