A storm is just a storm.

A rose by any other name…. We’ve had more storms than Gaelic or Scandinavian names, just like last weekend. Kathleen- I couldn’t remember the name so I googled it, such was the impact. And today we have strong and cold northerly winds, which are gusting and driving quite heavy showers along with them.

And the name? Nil. Zilch, nothing. Anonymous. So that’s what I’ve named it. Yes, I get it that others suffer more or less than us, and I get it that we are now a blaming Society and we’ve become litigious and ready to sue the Met Office for errors of omission and commission, but why name them if we don’t take any notice or the storm doesn’t match up to our expectations, or we don’t remember them?

Any road, named or anonymous it gave us a legitimate excuse/reason for George’s walk to be accompanied by his new coat, if he needed any such justification. And pretty good he looked too – for a wuss.
