40 bales.

Or how to get organised and get them shifted! Andrew, our farmer and straw supplier only had Thursday morning available for us to go over to Pen y Bont (10 miles or so) and stock up. We left home and were back in an hour fully loaded!

Last year was poor for barley straw and with little available we had to make do with the previous year’s supply. On the tight is the last two bales, on the left is the new. The light doesn’t do justice to the colour which is bright yellow.

Team work kicked in and with forty fully loaded we arrived back home for a coffee and biscuits prior to unloading – which took thirty minutes!

Two happy Donks!
